Colembert: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
In the village, Colembert Castle stands next to the church and opposite the town hall; it is visible from the departmental road. It was built between 1776 and 1784 by the Count of Saint Aldegonde under the direction of the architect Giraux Sannier. Culture
The Church of Saint Nicholas is a Romanesque building. Its façades and roofs have been partially protected as historic monuments since a decree dated 28 December 1984. The Antoinette bell in the Church of Saint Nicholas weighs 630 kilograms. The church was opened for worship on 31 October 1786.
Landscape
The Wimereux River rises in Colembert. La Warenne de Colembert is located on Mont Dauphin, one of the highest points of the Boulonnais cuesta, at an elevation of 203 metres. La Warenne is one of seven Natura 2000 sites designated because of their limestone slopes and to preserve the calcareous grasslands.
Hiking
The Le Mont Dauphin hiking trail crosses the source of the Wimereux on a footbridge and leads into the forest. In clear weather, the trail can be followed as far as an information board. At La Warenne, a circular hiking trail leads to an information board and a biodiversity area.
Transport
The N42 passes through Colembert and is a motorway-like connection between Boulogne-sur-Mer and Saint-Omer.
