In Souchez, the Centre d’Histoire des Mémorial’14-18 is housed in a building made of black concrete and glass, designed by Pierre-Louis Faloci. Culture and History
The Centre d’Histoire is located at 102 Rue Pasteur in Souchez; the car park can be accessed via the Chemin de Lens. The centre can be visited independently or with an audio guide in French, German, English or Dutch. Allow half a day to visit the three sites of the Mémorial’14-18.
Lens' 14-18 in Souchez is a free-to-access interpretation centre. It presents the battles and events of the First World War along the 90-kilometre-long front in Nord-Pas-de-Calais from 1914 to 1918.
At the entrance to Souchez lies the British Cabaret Rouge Cemetery. It was established in March 1916 on the site of the former Cabaret Rouge and is distinguished by its circular design. The Canadian Unknown Soldier was exhumed there in 2000 and subsequently buried at the Canadian War Memorial in Ottawa.
The Monument à la Gloire de la division Barbot, a First World War memorial, also stands within the municipality of Souchez. It honours the soldiers of the 77th Infantry Division and General Barbot, who was wounded on 10 May 1915 in the Battle of Souchez.
La Renaissance Souchez was established in 1928 after the village of Souchez was rebuilt and was revived in 2003. The event takes place every year on the first Sunday in September.

Nature and Trails
The Sentier des Talus is an 8-kilometre walking trail through the Carency Valley and the municipality of Souchez. The Cascade enchantée de Souchez can also be reached via this trail through the Carency Valley.
The grove in the centre of the village of Souchez forms a green space. The Saint-Nazaire and Carency waterways run through the grove and merge beneath the village square to form the Souchez.
