Coulogne offers a green route between Coulogne and Guînes: pedestrians and cyclists can use a continuously secured 6-kilometre route there. It runs via Préville-Trou Gai through the Marais de Guînes along the canal and ends in the town centre of Guînes.

Nature
The corridor along the Canal de Calais offers a peaceful walking and cycling route between Coulogne and Les Attaques and between Coulogne and Guînes. The Véloroute des Marais also runs between Coulogne and Guînes; it is around 7 kilometres long and forms part of EuroVelo 5.
Culture and history
The Église Saint-Jacques, a local heritage site, stands in the centre of Coulogne. Events scheduled throughout the year take place at the Médiathèque l’Octogone in Coulogne; admission is free.
The guided tour “À la découverte de la ville de Coulogne” provides an insight into the history of the old church, the canals originating from the marshes and the remains associated with the conflicts of the 20th century. In 2026, the tour is scheduled on several Saturdays between 20 June and 12 September; it starts at Coulogne town hall.
Water
The Cercle de l’aviron du Calaisis rowing facility offers supervised rowing on land and on the water all year round, both as a leisure activity and as a competitive sport. Instruction is provided by professionals and qualified coaches.
The free Majest’in river ferry connects Calais Nord and Coulogne in 30 minutes along the Canal de Calais.
