Nature
Located in the heart of the 7 Vallées, Huby-Saint-Leu lies in the shadow of an extensive state forest. The forest is situated on the summit and southern slope of a low plateau that forms the edge of the Artois Anticline and overlooks the valleys of the Ternoise and the Canche to the south, as well as the Planquette Valley to the west. Beech accounts for 60 percent of the woodland, hornbeam for 25 percent; roe deer, rabbits, woodcocks and pheasants are also found there.
The Marais communal d'Huby-Saint-Leu is classified as a type 1 continental ZNIEFF and covers 5.91 hectares. The documented flora of the marshland includes six species of importance for the ZNIEFF, including three species protected at regional level.
Culture
The Église Saint-Leu was built in 1506 with the support of François de Créquy, Lord of Huby and Governor of the Boulonnais. It features Gothic architecture. The Église Saint-Leu contains two 19th-century paintings donated by the Bordes-Châtelet family. By decree of 5 April 1930, the Église Saint-Leu was listed as a historic monument.

Fishing and cuisine
The fishing stretch on the Ternoise runs from Grigny to its confluence with the Canche in Huby-Saint-Leu. At the confluence in Huby-Saint-Leu, there is a fly-fishing no-kill stretch; barbless hooks are mandatory.
