Bondues: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Musée de la Résistance de Bondues is located in the remains of Fort de Bondues and presents the history of the resistance in Nord-Pas-de-Calais during the German occupation. From 17 March 1943 to 1 May 1944, 68 members of the resistance were executed at Fort de Bondues.

The Château du Vert-Bois, owned by the Prouvost family, houses a remarkable collection of faience and Napoleonic memorabilia.

Golf

Golf de Bondues covers almost 120 hectares and has two 18-hole courses. The Trent-Jones course comprises nine holes designed by Robert Trent Jones Senior and nine more completed by his son several years later.

The Hawtree course at Golf de Bondues has a long, narrow and well-protected layout with large plateau greens defended by bunkers.

Paths and Nature

The Boucle des Deux Domaines starts at the car park of the Ferme de l'Hôtel, 37 avenue de Wambrechies in Bondues. It passes through part of the historic Domaine de La Vigne, the new Domaine des « Belles Fermes » and the « Diamants Blancs ». These areas are connected by country lanes and well-known avenues in Bondues.

At the end of the Boucle des Deux Domaines trail stands the Chapelle du Vœu, a chapel made of grey Tournai stone dating from 1915. The Ferme de l'Hôtel is suitable for observing biodiversity and now hosts events and associations.

The Bondues leisure airfield has several freely accessible courses for all levels.

Getting Around

The Musée de la Résistance de Bondues can be reached by the LIANE 91 bus routes, with stops at Fort de Bondues or La Quenouille, and by route 86, with stops at Fort de Bondues or La Quenouille. Route 89 operates on the Bondues/Wambrechies-Leers route; the Centre or Eglise stops can be used, followed by a ten-minute walk.
