Culture

The sacristy of the Église Sainte-Anne contains a carved oak altarpiece from the 17th century. The church also houses a stone bas-relief depicting the Crucifixion and the twelve Apostles.

History

The present-day Chapelle Sainte-Anne was built on the site of an original chapel dating from 1535. It was constructed after the inhabitants of Beauvois-en-Cambrésis invoked Saint Anne during a time of severe hardship. The Chapelle Sainte Anne was restored in 1911.

The Les trois textiles au fil des riots hiking trail passes through Beauvois-en-Cambrésis. It is 11.5 kilometres long, with an estimated walking time of three hours.

La Fabrique is a former wool factory in Beauvois-en-Cambrésis. It is connected to the nearby Val du Riot leisure facility by a path accessible to hikers. La Fabrique is a 1,200 m² site intended to serve as an accommodation and leisure centre and is undergoing extensive, sustainable renovation.

Geographical location

Beauvois-en-Cambrésis is located on the RD 643, formerly the RN 43, an east-west transport route connecting Cambrai, Caudry and Le Cateau-Cambrésis.

The Fête de Sainte Anne village festival takes place on the fourth weekend of July.
