In the winter of 2001, remains of amphorae, Roman roof tiles and pottery were discovered on the hill near the “Motte Castrale”. The “Motte Castrale” is considered to be the remains of a former castle that has completely disappeared; its date is cautiously assigned to the 10th or 11th century.
