Culture and History
The Moulin à vent de Boisse was built in 1813 to replace a mill in the neighbouring municipality of Cézac, which had been struck by lightning repeatedly. The windmill was restored in the late 1960s; during this work, the roof was renewed and the drive shaft was replaced. From June to September, the Moulin à vent de Boisse opened to the public and offered milling demonstrations five times a year.
The Sainte-Alauzie parish church contains preserved structural elements dating from the late 15th or early 16th century. Its southern portal is decorated with carved branch motifs and a coat of arms bearing the IHS monogram. When stopping in the village of Sainte-Alauzie, visitors can see a beautiful white-stone church.
The Lavoir du village de Sainte-Alauzie is designated as a protected architectural and landscape feature in the PLUi du Quercy Blanc under Article L151-19. The Borne milliaire du moulin de Ramps is a protected milestone monument located in Sainte-Alauzie; it was placed under protection by decree dated 24 September 2015.
