The Arros flows through Bordes from south to north. A direct route through the surrounding area is provided by the Camin'Arros: This 2.7-kilometre, approximately 30-minute path connects Tournay with the centre of Bordes. It can be accessed via Rue du Gabastou near the campsite on the banks of the Arros.
The peaks of Pic d'Aste, Pic de Labassère, Montagne de Billexe and Casque du Lhéris are located in the wider area surrounding Bordes.

Culture and History
The local history is reflected in two church buildings: The present-day church of Bordes was built between 1864 and 1881. The former church, located in what is now the cemetery of Bordes, was demolished in 1876 after it had become at risk of collapse.
Another historical landmark is the rectangular earthwork of the Oppidum of Hourquet. It is 57 metres long and 40 metres wide and is bordered by a two-metre-high earth rampart and a three-metre-deep ditch. Due to traces of the Roman Césarée road between Lanespède and Capvern, it is believed that this oppidum served as a Roman garrison post.
The surrounding area of Bordes is home to the Musée Massey museum, Château d'Odos dit de Marguerite de Navarre castle, the Escaladieu historical site, a Cistercian abbey, and the Cloitre du jardin Massey historical site.
Festivals
The village festival of Bordes takes place on the last weekend of July. The village also organises a réveillon de la Saint-Sylvestre.
