Nature
The “Gabizos et Vallée d’Arrens” Natura 2000 site encompasses the High Pyrenean part of the Gabizos massif as well as the Bouleste and Pouey-Laün valleys. It covers 2,924 hectares and lies within the municipalities of Arrens-Marsous and Arbéost.
A flat, 800-metre-long interpretation trail accessible to everyone runs along the right bank of Lac du Tech. It is equipped with five information panels on geology, mountain landscapes, pastoralism and hydropower.

The Maison du Parc national des Pyrénées offers a sensory exhibition with a virtual trail for discovering the valleys’ natural areas. The exhibition is divided into three sections covering the characteristic natural areas of the valleys: ancient mountain forests, summer pastures and open habitats, and high mountains.
During the season, the Maison du Parc national des Pyrénées offers public events such as film screenings followed by discussions, children’s activities and workshops, as well as guided tours.
