The Église Notre-Dame-de-la-Nativité is fully protected as a historic monument; it was registered on 7 March 2024. Above its entrance portal is a reused marble chrism, dated to the 12th century and probably considered a remnant of the original Romanesque church. When the 18th-century altarpiece was removed for restoration, murals were discovered beneath the cornice on the three eastern sides of the pentagonal choir.
The Église Notre-Dame-de-la-Nativité contains two bas-reliefs depicting episodes from the lives of Saint Cyr and Saint Julitte; they are protected as movable monuments and were registered on 12 November 1997. A cartulary entry from 1249 mentions the present-day Chapelle Saint-Genès de Labarthe-Inard near the Church of Saint-Cirice. The Chapelle Saint Genest was rebuilt in 1838 and may have housed a parish in the 13th century. The Labarthe-Inard war memorial dates from 1922.
Water and Paths
A hiking trail approximately 1.3 km long has been laid out around Lac de la Hierle for a walk. The washhouse of Labarthe-Inard was built at the foot of the Côte de la Canaou hill towards the end of the 19th century. Its large basin is fed by the very clear water of the La Canaou spring, which rises immediately above it.
Labarthe-Inard has an outdoor Stations of the Cross. The stations consist of metal crosses set into stone bases. The station number and the corresponding section of Christ’s Passion are engraved on the bases.
Local Life
The municipal sports complex in Labarthe-Inard includes a mountain-bike course. A market of local producers and craftspeople also takes place in Labarthe-Inard on the last Sunday of every month.
