Culture and History
The Couvent des Jacobins was built by the Dominicans between 1230 and 1385. The two-aisled nave features a famous vaulted structure in the shape of a palm tree, the Palmier des Jacobins. The Couvent des Jacobins hosts concerts, festivals in the cloister and exhibitions in the former refectory.
The Musée Saint-Raymond preserves almost 1,000 Roman sculptures illustrating the lives of the Celts and Romans in the Toulouse region. The basement contains remains of the Saint-Sernin necropolis as well as numerous funerary artworks from Roman antiquity and the early Middle Ages.
Saint-Sernin in Toulouse is an important pilgrimage site on the French routes to Santiago de Compostela. The Basilica of Saint-Sernin is an 11th-century Romanesque basilica made of brick and stone.
Science
The Cité de l'espace is a science theme park dedicated to space travel and astronomy. It offers more than 250 exhibition items, including moon rock, authentic modules from the MIR space station and a scale replica of the Ariane 5. The offerings also include 4,000 m² of permanent and temporary exhibitions, an IMAX® cinema, two planetariums and an astronomy dome.
Nature and Water
The Jardin des Plantes is home to around one hundred botanical species and offers visitors, among other things, a children's carousel, a small railway, bicycle rental and pony rides.
The Jardins du Muséum, located around the La Maourine pond in the Borderouge district, provide a place to discover nature. The Potagers du Monde grow and display almost 700 varieties of food plants, fruit and vegetables, including rare plants.
The Canal du Midi in Toulouse is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a historic canal within the city.

The Marché couvert Victor Hugo is located in the heart of Toulouse's notable heritage area. On the first floor, it houses restaurants that showcase products from the region sold on the ground floor.
