Jégun is considered a fortified village founded by Bernard IV, Count of Armagnac. Numerous stone or half-timbered houses line the main street; Henri IV stayed in one of these houses.
Culture and history
The Pigeonnier-porche de Puntis is a dovecote in Jégun, whose main construction phase may date back to the 17th century. Its façades and roofs have been listed as a Monument historique since 20 December 1973.
The Chapelle Saint-Michel de Tremblade is a rural chapel with a single-nave layout, a flat-ended chancel and a bell gable with a single opening. It has been listed as a Monument historique since 23 April 1979. A Gascon emban stands in front of the entrance, where the parish community's meetings ended.
The former collegiate church of Sainte-Candide in Jégun dates from the 11th to the 12th century and is now the Sainte-Candide church. It stands on a spur and overlooks the Loustère valley.

The Chapelle Saint-Jean-Baptiste de Lézian is located in the hamlet of Lézian within the municipality of Jégun and is part of the rural religious heritage. It features a rare, well-preserved painted ceiling on zinc sheets of significant heritage value.
The Foire Aux Vins in Jégun has brought local producers together every year since 1985.
Nature and gardens
The Jardins de Vassevin cover just under 5,000 m² and include areas with aromatic, dry, ornamental and aquatic gardens. The gardens also include a washhouse and a fountain built from rubble stone and dressed stone. The washhouse in the Jardin de Vassevin was restored in 2013.
The pond in the Jardin de Vassevin is home to frogs, dragonflies, whirligig beetles, pond skaters and a few goldfish; birds come there to drink. A spring in the small building opposite the washhouse of the Jardin de Vassevin continues to supply the washhouse and is used, among other things, to water the gardens and the flowers planted in the municipality.
A spring emerges at the foot of the rose bush associated with Notre-Dame des Roses. The Notre-Dame des Roses spring is linked to the local tradition that an image of the Virgin Mary was found there beneath a rose bush blooming in winter.
