The Château de Castex is a 19th-century château built on the site of a medieval fortified castle. The church of Castex-d'Armagnac also bears witness to an older architectural and religious history: it was rebuilt using remains from the 14th century. It houses a 12th-century icon of Notre Dame du Perpétuel Secours, which is venerated there.
Nature
Castex-d'Armagnac is part of the Natura 2000 site “Réseau hydrographique du Midou et du Ludon”. This area comprises 329.34 hectares of alluvial forests with Alnus glutinosa and Fraxinus excelsior. Castex-d'Armagnac is also part of the continental ZNIEFF type 2 site “Réseau hydrographique du Midou et milieux annexes”.
