In Belmont-Sur-Rance, the Collégiale Sainte-Marie is a focal point of historical interest: the church and its bell tower were partially protected as historic monuments by a decree dated 14 June 1929. The Collégiale Sainte-Marie, now the parish church of Notre-Dame de l’Assomption, was completely rebuilt between 1515 and 1524. At the Conservatoire des statues-menhirs de Belmont, guided tours are available on the menhir statues and local history, which spans several millennia.
The Chapelle du Sériguet houses a stone slab engraved in 1620. It tells of a battle between a father and his son, who died while fighting for their faith. Routes and explorations
The 9-kilometre hiking loop “Sur les traces des statues-menhirs” begins at the hamlet of Saint-Vincent and passes six statues. The “Par Monts et par Vaux” circular route includes a ford and woodland paths along the Rance.
