L'herm: holiday apartments and holiday homes

The Grotte de L'Herm is protected as a Natura 2000 site because of the presence of numerous bat species.

Nature

Visiting the Grotte de L'Herm is prohibited during the bats' longer breeding and roosting periods. Visitor permits may be issued for two weeks in March and during September.

Trails

The marked Boucle par le Pas del Theil circular trail section in L'Herm is 6.8 km long and has an elevation gain of 186 metres.

Maintenance of the Lo camin de las parets e deus boishs trail is supplemented by measures from the Office de Tourisme de Foix-Varilhes, which manages this community trail.

En Selle is located in L'Herm. On the trails of Ariège, En Selle offers rides for different profiles and all levels of experience, for ages 7 to 77; the rides are open to children aged 7 and over.

Culture

The restored washhouse of Baragne is located on the Chemin de La Calmette, directly behind the hamlet of Baragne.

The Monument aux morts commemorating the wars of 1914–1918 and 1939–1945 in L'Herm was erected at the end of 1920.

The war memorial of L'Herm faces west and stands to the right of the entrance to the parish church in the cemetery. It bears a sculpted Latin cross on its pedestal.
