Location and Routes

Camping Le Bourdieu is located on the grounds of a former farm that was converted into a leisure and recreation site. The grounds cover 16 hectares, approximately 5 hectares of which are occupied by the campsite.

Culture and History

The Musée Pierre Bayle, a museum, is located in the vicinity of Durfort. The Abbaye Notre-Dame de Calers, a historic site, is also nearby. The ruins of the Abbaye des Salenques are likewise located in the vicinity of Durfort.

In the village itself, the Church of Saint-Sernin in Durfort has a bell tower with a continuous wall façade and a bas-relief. The church belonged to the Abbey of Lézat and formed a priory. In 1245, it was dedicated to Saint Sernin; in 1630, to Saint Firmin; and from 1725 onward, once again to Saint Sernin.

A castle was built in Durfort in the 13th century and fell into ruin during the French Revolution. The castle remains at Durfort replaced an older fortification mentioned in a record from 1263; they were built or rebuilt in the 14th century.
