Thiat: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Saut de la Brame consists of three successive waterfalls, each three metres high, and lies among large granite boulders. A footpath leads from the village of Breuil to this waterfall.

Culture and History

In the 14th century, the village was destroyed by the English. The inhabitants rebuilt it one kilometre further south and named it Thiat.

On 8 July 1858, the parish church of Thiat was placed under the patronage of the Immaculate Conception.

Historically, pottery, glassblowing and blacksmithing developed in Thiat.

The Moulin de Bram is one of Thiat’s mills of tourist interest, situated along the Brame, and it is still in operation.

At the Moulin de Bram in the hamlet of Le Moulin de Bram in Thiat, there is an accessible Handipêche fishing spot.

There, flour is milled from grain in a watermill, with as much local grain as possible being selected.
