Culture
A two-story square tower remains from the former Château Les Peaux. Framed by extensive outbuildings, the entrance leads through a vaulted gatehouse with a broken barrel vault and an upper floor.
Château Les Blancharderies combines several architectural periods and styles and was restored in the 19th century. It has a rectangular residential wing flanked by a round tower and adjoining the outbuildings. The château is largely visible from the public road; the Sentier de la Soire hiking trail (H16) offers a view of the château.
Château La Garenne preserves water-filled moats, two truncated spur-shaped towers, the base of a square tower, a kitchen, and a laundry room with carved corbel fireplaces. The surviving features date the construction of La Garenne to the 14th or 15th century.
Wine and Trails
Viticulture in Cersay has been documented since the Middle Ages. The Cabane à vigne is located 1 km northeast of the town center, along a path amid the vineyards. The square building is made of local rubble stone and has dressed tuffeau stone surrounds; it formerly served as basic accommodation for grape harvest workers.
The Terre de vignobles route leads visitors to discover the region's vineyards and AOC wines; vineyards also extend into Cersay. It is an easy 10 km hike with an estimated duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes, starting in Bouillé-Saint-Paul and exploring the region's vineyards and wines.
