Culture
The Château du Rieux is an example of 15th- and 16th-century architecture, particularly in its upper sections. In 1815, it served as Marshal Ney’s last refuge. By decree of 17 April 1931, the Château du Rieux was listed as a historic monument.
The bell has been classified as a protected object since 12 November 1908. It is said to have been discovered in the ruins of the Château de Merle fortress, also known as Tours de Merle.
