Culture

In the church of Saillagouse, the ensemble comprising the rosary altarpiece, statues, altar and altar steps has been protected as a movable object and historic monument since 15 February 2000. The Retable du Christ in the Église Sainte Eugénie de Saillagouse is listed as a historic monument and dates from the third quarter of the 18th century. The Église Sainte Eugénie de Saillagouse is also mentioned in the deed of consecration of Urgell Cathedral from the year 839. The southern part of the present-day church belongs to the Romanesque architectural period of the 12th and 13th centuries.

The Musée de la charcuterie cerdane has been located since 1996 at the exit of Saillagouse on the road to Estavar. In the museum, a natural drying chamber displays more than 1,500 hanging hams. It also has an exhibition and video room explaining the craft of the charcutiers and its development.
