Culture

The parish church of Saint-Etienne in the historic centre of Ille-sur-Têt was built between the middle of the 17th century and the second half of the 18th century. The organ case and pipes of Saint-Etienne church form an ensemble unique in Roussillon. Its exceptional façade and large dimensions give the church a cathedral-like appearance.

The Church of the Tiers Ordre des Carmes was built in the 18th century on the initiative of wealthy local property owners. The Hospice d’Ille has extensive collections of 12th-century murals.
