Culture and history

The Romanesque Church of Saint-Félix is medieval and was rebuilt. The year 1693 engraved in a side lintel may refer to the construction of the nave and chapels; work on the bell tower began in 1706.

A small, warm sulphur spring emerges at the village washhouse. The Vallée del Feu lies at the foot of Madres (2,469 m) in the Garrotxes Valley.

The peaks Puig de la Socarrada, Llomet, la Torrella and Pica Bastard are each located in the immediate vicinity of Ayguatébia-Talau.

The Tour des oratoires can be completed on foot in one stretch in approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes; expect significant changes in elevation.
