Culture

The Church of Saint-Cyr-et-Sainte-Julitte (Sant-Quirc – Santa-Julite) in Canohès is an 11th-century Romanesque church and is listed as a historic monument. The mausoleum of Auguste Estrade in Canohès is an approximately ten-metre-high, cylindrical structure in the form of a small Corinthian pseudoperipteral temple. At the same time, it is a tomb made from Roman ceramics, inspired by the Choragic Monument of Lysicrates.

The wash house in Canohès was built in 1894 by the architect M. Fournols on the Correch dels Roumanis and is still functional today. The Les Coves tunnel is also one of the town's preserved structures: it is an approximately 800-metre-long underground water drainage tunnel that is still intact.

Nature

The Les Canals canal crosses the north of Canohès, dates back to the 13th century and is a peaceful place for walks in Canohès. La Prade de Canohès is a wetland in the Pyrénées-Orientales department.

Events

Théâtre du Réflexe is a professional theatre company and an event venue. The venue has 100 seats and offers an annual programme. The theatre company of Théâtre du Réflexe tours with around ten productions for young audiences and general audiences.
