Landscape
The Circuit du Vignoble de la Vallée du Cougaing passes through La Digne-d'Amont. Together with Ajac, Castelreng, La Digne d'Aval and Tourreilles, it forms a heritage route through the five villages.
Culture
The old town of La Digne-d'Amont dates back to the 9th century. The Sainte-Colombe chapel is the original centre of the village, which is characterised by its ecclesiastical heritage. In the old village, the houses are arranged in several rings around the church; the circular route indicates the course of the medieval moats.
The Sainte-Colombe church is known for its Baroque furnishings. The former Sainte-Colombe church is partially protected as a historic monument; the protection was registered on 27 April 1948.
Wine and events
At Domaine La Rolande, red, white and rosé wines bearing the designations AOP Limoux and IGP Haute Vallée de l'Aude are offered for tasting and sale. Some local products that can be served with the wines are also sold there.
In 2019, La Digne-d'Amont hosted “Toques et Clochers”, a wine event held annually over the Palm Sunday weekend by the Limoux appellation, featuring street festivals and tasting cellars in the village selected each year.
