Culture and History

The Church of Saint-Saturnin contains an 18th-century marble altar and a 19th-century white marble tabernacle. The church in the hamlet of Saint-Sernin in Bouriège also contains a 17th-century statue of Saint Saturnin. The remains of Château de Bouriège are located in the older part of Bouriège.

Excavations at the Oppidum du Carla uncovered objects dating from the Bronze Age to the Middle Ages. The finds indicate a certain continuity of settlement at this site. They are kept at the Musée Petiet in Limoux but are currently not on public display.
