La boucle des Caunes is an easy 5-km hike lasting 2 hours and 30 minutes, with an elevation difference of 100 metres. The route leads up a hill above Bages and offers views over the Étang de Bages-Sigean, the Massif de la Clape and the sea.

Paths and Water

The Bateauthèque allows residents and visitors to hire kayaks, small sailing boats or dinghies and sail on the lagoon when the weather is suitable.

Culture

Bages' medieval quarter features adjoining houses. The Sun Gate was formerly the main entrance to Bages' fortified old village; the sundial dates from the 17th century.

Saint Martin Church stands at the highest point of the village and offers views over the landscape from a height of 35 metres.

The Maison des Arts is a free-admission municipal art gallery in the former rectory, which was restored as an exhibition venue. It has a terrace overlooking the lagoon. L'Étangd'Art organises contemporary art exhibitions in Bages.
