The Château de Plaisir is one of the oldest surviving castles from the Early Modern period in Yvelines. The Château de Plaisir and the Parc du Château were classified as historic monuments by decree of 25 August 1961.
The Church of Saint-Pierre in Plaisir houses the polychrome limestone statue “Sainte Catherine”, which was registered as a movable object under monument protection on 3 November 1982. The Théâtre Coluche is a performing arts venue with 868 seats and a large stage for major productions as well as more intimate performances.
La Clé des Champs is an events centre with 300 seats that opened in 2006. Its diverse programme includes national and international artists as well as talent from the regional scene; there are also two studios, a bar and numerous cultural activities. The Alphonse-Daudet Media Library in Plaisir offers a children’s area with books and games, activities and workshops, a quiet reading and work area with free Wi-Fi, as well as a wide selection of books, CDs, DVDs and vinyl records.

Nature
The Forêt de Sainte-Apolline is a 294-hectare forest and wetland in Plaisir and Neauphle-le-Château. The forest offers hiking trails and picnic areas. The Forêt de Sainte-Apolline preserves the remains of a former fortified manor house as well as a centuries-old lime-tree avenue marking the site of a former chapel.
Around 50 hectares of the Domaine de Plaisir, excluding the Château, have been classified as a protected site since the decree of 26 December 1946.
Plaisir is served by two railway stations: Plaisir-Grignon and Plaisir-Les Clayes. The Forêt de Sainte-Apolline has a car park and can be reached by Hourtoule bus route 10 towards Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, getting off at the “La Chaine” stop.
