Grandchamp: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Culture and History

The church of the municipality of Grandchamp was built in 1214 and is the former chapel of the abbey. Château de Grandchamp and its outbuildings include parts of the former abbey buildings, which were rebuilt in 1680.

In the past, a relic described as the head of Saint Saturninus attracted pilgrims from far away. Château de Grandchamp is privately owned and is not open to the public.

Hiking

The “Grandchamp – In the Lands of the Premonstratensians” hiking route is a circular trail 10 to 15 kilometres long. It offers distant views of Château de Grandchamp and includes a 500-metre out-and-back detour to Église Sainte-Marie-Madeleine.

Château de Morville, a château, is located near Grandchamp. Also in the surrounding area are Château de Nogent-le-Roi, a historic site, and Prieuré Saint-Thomas, a historic site. Château de Maintenon, a historic site, is located in the wider region around Grandchamp.
