Culture and History
The Ferme du Marais already existed in the 11th century. Renovations in the 19th century gave it the style of a typical Briard farmhouse. The Ferme des Lyons is also characterised by agriculture: it is a typical Briard farmhouse and a testament to the region’s former agricultural activity.
The Château de Santeny was built in 1868 from limestone and slate. Its eclectic 19th-century design includes turrets with a Gothic Revival or neo-medieval appearance. Concerts are regularly held at the Château de Santeny; it is accessible to the general public only as part of special events.
The Lavoir, Fontaine Richard in Santeny is a covered communal washhouse from the 19th century. A fountain plaque set into its wall bears the year 1772 and the coat of arms of the Richard family.
The Church of Saint-Germain in Santeny probably dates back to the 13th century. It is not open to the public outside of masses and ceremonies.

Nature
The Forêt de Notre-Dame borders Santeny to the north and has been classified as a protected forest since 25 May 2016. The Réveillon is a small, non-navigable watercourse in the Brie region that is used for walks and recreation.
Starting from the long, developed walking paths in Villecresnes, the routes lead through the Marolles golf course to the body of water known as “La Queue de Poêle” in Santeny.
Events and Activities
La Santenoise is a regular solidarity sports event in Santeny featuring a 5 km run or 5 km walk, as well as 5, 11 and 20 km runs.
The Écurie du Parc des Lyons offers riding lessons from beginner to competition level. It also offers young children guided pony walks and rides in the Forêt de Notre-Dame.
