Culture and History

The interactive heritage trail through Roissy-en-France consists of 16 reconstructed concrete slabs with QR codes providing explanations of the individual stops. It conveys the village’s agricultural past and the daily life of its residents. The trail is two kilometres long, takes about an hour and follows a paved surface suitable for urban and all-terrain strollers.

The Church of Saint-Eloi is a Renaissance church with historic statues and tomb slabs from the 16th and 17th centuries. It was classified as a historic monument on 13 October 1942. A date engraved in a buttress of the Church of Saint-Eloi appears to indicate that it was completed in 1574.

The remains of Roissy Castle also preserve the site associated with the lords who resided there over several successive centuries. The eastern gable of the remains was classified as a historic monument in 1925.

Nature and Exercise

Vallée Verte is a 90-hectare natural area in Val-d’Oise with orienteering courses, hiking trails and cycle paths. It offers six kilometres of freely accessible paths for walking, running and cycling, as well as a circular route approximately 5,080 metres long.

Educational and learning trails in Vallée Verte illustrate the area’s ecological richness and the role of its ponds in supporting local wildlife.
