Culture and History
The Church of Saint Médard in Maisse has been listed as a historic monument since 28 September 1926. Its construction began around the 12th century; Romanesque stylistic features and 15th-century vaults characterize the church.
The former château estate complex in Maisse also preserves extensive ancillary buildings from the Ancien Régime, including a monumental dovecote with a square ground plan. The Moulin de Saint-Eloi in Maisse has existed since the 12th century. The Moulin Neuf is believed to have already existed in the 15th century and was used exclusively for flour production.
