Novillard: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Culture

The present-day Église Saint-Julien in Novillard was built from 1748 onwards and consecrated in 1781. The church also contains a bronze bell cast in 1766, which was listed as a protected monument on 7 March 1977.

The former Le moulin Made mill and the fountain are located on Rue du Moulin. The former mill's supply channel is still in existence and is fed by the La Madeleine.

On the Grande Rue, a 19th-century farm complex has a roof with a pronounced overhang typical of the Territoire de Belfort. It protects the entrances to the barn and stable. Also on the Grande Rue, a 19th-century house has the arrangement of barn, stable and living area on one level that is typical of the Territoire de Belfort.

Hiking

Signposted hiking trails run through Novillard and allow for family-friendly walks.

The Circuit de la rivière La Madeleine begins at the car park of the intermunicipal hall at 14 Rue Sur le Rond, 90340 Novillard. The circular route is 12 km long, takes about 4 hours, is easy and has only slight climbs. The Circuit de la Madeleine follows the Autruche and La Madeleine rivers through fields and forests. The Circuit de la rivière La Madeleine also passes three villages and crosses the La Madeleine twice.

History and landscape

The historic sites of Basses-Perches Fort, Rue Xavier Bauer Lunette and Bourgeois Bastion are located in the wider regional area around Novillard.

The Fort de la Miotte and the mountain La Côte are located near Novillard. The mountain Tête le Moine, the mountain Le Fayé and the Etang des Coeudres aquarium are also located in the wider regional area.
