Nature
The Sentier des Tourbières du Bief du Nanchez is an easy 6.3 km circular trail with a stated duration of two hours. It starts at the church in Prénovel and leads through the Combe de Nanchez. Its landscape is characterized by wooded ridges of fir and spruce, pastures, wet meadows, and peat bogs.
The discovery trail in the Bief du Nanchez Peat Bog Regional Nature Reserve is 3.5 km long and takes approximately 1.5 hours. The path to the peat bogs starts near the church in Prénovel.
Culture
The parish church of Saint-Augustin in Prénovel dates from 1829. The present parish church was preceded by a church built in 1509 and dedicated to Saint Theodul. Saint-Augustin is a neoclassical building with three naves and a semi-octagonal sanctuary.
Activities
The Le Duchet starting point in Prénovel offers the greatest choice of different trails and difficulty levels in the Nanchez Nordic skiing area.
The “Lacs et tourbières du Grandvaux” route starts at the Le Duchet holiday village in Prénovel. It passes the de la Vierge and du Moulin viewpoints, which are located at the higher points of the circular route.
