Nature
The “Les étangs de Bresse” hiking route begins in Champrougier and follows part of the Sentier des 19 étangs. It passes through the landscapes of the Bresse region, with its thousands of ponds, and lies within a protected Natura 2000 site. Most of the species found in this Natura 2000 site are protected. Foxes or deer may be spotted during the hike.
Hiking
The hike passes between forests and ponds. The Sentier des 19 étangs can extend the hike to approximately 20 km. Parking for the route is available next to the church in Champrougier.
Water
Sport fishing is possible at Étang Seigneur in Champrougier; fishing is permitted from the bank and with a float tube. There are tables and benches for a picnic at Étang Faty.
