Saint-Bresson: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Hiking and landscapes

The “La Vallée du Raddon et ses Sources” circular trail begins in Saint-Bresson at the village church. The eight-kilometre hike follows both sides of the valley to a plateau dotted with ponds. Nine information panels cover the topics of geology, water, wood and old farmhouses.

Culture and history

The Church of Saint-Brice in Saint-Bresson dates from the second half of the 18th century. The Saint-Brice Chapel is neo-Gothic and dates from the late 19th century.

The history of the Desgranges site also goes back a long way: a paper mill already existed there before 1726. In May 1860, Léopold and Charles Desgranges applied to convert their paper mill into a cotton spinning mill. Flour production at the “Moulin Galmiche” grain mill ceased around 1950. The wooden storage building dating from 1666 is known as a “chalot”.

The 120-kilometre Route des Chalots is a tourist route lined with heritage sites and passes through seven municipalities, including Saint-Bresson.
