Amblans-Et-Velotte: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

The Church of Saint Anthony was built in 1826 on the site of an older chapel and preserves six stained-glass windows installed in the late 19th century by the Maréchal de Metz workshops. The windows depict Saint Charles Borromée, Saint Helena, Saint Isidore and Saint Joseph; formally, they consist of lancets with round-arched tops.

Culture and history

The church in Amblans is dedicated to Saint Anthony of Padua, Saint Hubert and Saint Isidore. Beneath its portal are a stone from the former chapel engraved with the year “1624” and four flamboyant bas-reliefs. The church also preserves an 18th-century façade.

The château known as the “Maison dite château d’Amblans” was built around 1720–1725 by Jean-Charles-Alexis Breton d’Amblans.

Landmarks in the village

The statue of Our Lady of Lourdes stands on the edge of the N19 national road in Amblans-et-Velotte. The monument supporting the statue was inaugurated on 11 October 1926. An iron cross was erected opposite the church in Amblans in 1839.

The discovery cycling route established by the Franches Communes passes through Amblans-et-Velotte. The “Boucle Amblans Bouhans” circular route passes through a landscape of forests and fields.
