Belgodère: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Culture and History

E Teghje preserves visible remains of a medieval fortified tower dating from the 16th century. The parish church of San Tumasgiu è Gavinu stands in the heart of Belgodère and is listed as a historic monument. It was founded in 1560, while the choir was built in 1792. The Chapelle Saint-Jean houses a carved Baroque wooden altar dating from 1604.

The fortified part of the village of Belgodère is entered through three vaulted gateways and includes the Cima du Fondu and Cabanne quarters. A mass is held every year in February at the Chapelle Notre-Dame de Losari, which was restored in 2015. At the Chapelle Saint-Jean, the mass on the third Sunday in September is followed by a procession. The Festa di a lingua corsa in Belgodère has been organised for around eight years and includes theatre, singing, debates, conferences and workshops centred on the Corsican language.

Nature and Trails

Almost 50 hectares in Losari are permanently protected by the Conservatoire du littoral. Free car parks are available at both ends of Plage de Losari. Casa di Losari welcomes visitors during the summer season. From there, two trails, the Sentier de la tour and the Sentier du Reginu, pass through the area’s various natural environments and lead to its defining cultural sites.

The Découverte de Losari circuit covers the protected area of Losari and the Reginu wetland. Découverte de Losari is also a 3 km family walk for exploring the protected area of Losari.

Activities and Events

The Centre nautique de Losari offers pedal boats and a Big Paddle with a large slide. The Belgodère–Calenzana stage of the GT20 follows the Strada di l’Artigiani and passes through the hilltop villages of Balagne. The A Paolina road race covers 70 km between L’Île-Rousse and Morosaglia and passes through Belgodère.

The Atelier Vetrarte is located on Place de l’Église in Belgodère. It is the studio of glass artist Jocelyne Boyer and welcomes visitors in Belgodère.
