The Église Saint-Martin in Vertus has been classified as a Monument historique since 24 March 1854. The Hôtel-Dieu was founded in 1210 by the Counts of Champagne. The Chapelle Saint-Nicolas is the surviving part of the original Hôtel-Dieu site.
