Villeret: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
In Villeret in the Aube département, you will find the Église Saint-Ferréol. Its main construction phase dates back to the 16th century. Since 11 April 1931, the church has been classified as a historic monument in France.
Culture
The surviving structure of the Église Saint-Ferréol comprises only the chevet and the transept. One choir window bears the year 1513, while the large choir windows retain their original glazing. On the altar is a remarkable carved wooden tabernacle from the 16th century housing a statue of the Virgin Mary.
The Église Saint-Ferréol also contains the contemporary stained-glass window Arbre de Jessé from 2011. Flavie Serrière Vincent-Petit designed and created the work; it complements the old stained-glass windows.
The Route du Vitrail allows visitors to discover 72 remarkable religious and civil buildings from different periods in the Aube département. The free web application route-vitrail.fr provides information, photos, videos and practical details for independently exploring the art of stained glass. In 2026, the Église Saint-Ferréol is open to visitors.
