Nature

The Parc de La Rochefoucauld is designated an Espace Naturel Sensible and is managed by the Conservatoire d'Espaces Naturels de Champagne-Ardenne.

La Belle Allée forms part of a walking trail for health and well-being. It is approximately one kilometre long and lined with more than 50 trees of various species.

Culture and History

The Halle of Estissac is a 17th-century market hall with visible timber framing and exposed beams; it formerly served as a grain market. The Musée de la Mémoire Paysanne displays a collection of old agricultural equipment as well as tools used by saddlers, wheelwrights and farriers from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Numerous workshops from the former factories and buildings of the Brûley-Doré hosiery factory in Estissac are still visible; they bear witness to significant hosiery production in the last century.

The wider area around Estissac is home to the Hugues de payns Museum, the Musée Saint-Loup, the historic site of Abbaye Notre-Dame des Prés-lés-Troyes and the historic site of Abbaye de Vauluisant.

Events

The Estissac Sunday market takes place throughout the year on Sunday mornings from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Place de la République. The annual Foire Sainte-Catherine in Estissac, held every November, dates back to 1806.

The departmental cycling rally L’Aube à vélo includes route no. 24, a 55-kilometre circular route named Estissac.
