Culture
There are 16 protected objects designated for the Eglise Saint-Thibault. Its portal has been listed in the register of historic monuments since 28 July 1928. The church was formerly a subsidiary church of Isle-Aumont. Inside, there is a stone statue of a Christ de pitié that retains traces of polychromy.
The Rencontres Théobaldiennes are also dedicated to the town: they are organised in a different town every year to preserve the heritage of Saint-Thibault and open the community to European culture.
History
The first mention of Saint-Thibault dates from 1097, when the town was called Sanctus Theobaldus. At that time, the historic fortress of Saint-Thibault was subject to Isle-Aumont and thus to the Counts of Champagne. An equestrian depiction of Saint Thibault with a greyhound and a falcon dates from the 16th century. The former cemetery around the Eglise Saint-Thibault has since been replaced by a car park.
Hiking
Le Chemin des écoliers is a 10.3-kilometre circular walking trail and a family hiking route offered by the municipalities of Isle-Aumont, Les Bordes-Aumont and Saint-Thibault. The route initially follows the Hozain River and then leads to Saint-Thibault. Le Chemin des écoliers also connects Saint-Thibault and Isle-Aumont.
