Culture

The Église Notre-Dame de l'Assomption contains fragments of original murals depicting fantastic animals, which were discovered in 1973. It also houses an altarpiece painted in the 16th century depicting the legend of Saint Nicholas, the patron saint of Marnay's boatmen.

The Jardin Botanique de Marnay-sur-Seine is accessible to people with reduced mobility and wheelchair users. Covering an area of 2 hectares, it presents more than 3,000 plant species. Designed as a visitor route, the garden consists of around twenty themed areas, including a development trail, rose gardens, medicinal plants and a conservation garden. The conservation garden presents the various natural habitats and the flora of the Seine Valley. The Jardin Botanique de Marnay-sur-Seine has received the awards “Jardin Botanique de France et des Pays Francophones” and “Jardin remarquable”.
