The Église Saint-Georges has a Romanesque portal and a Romanesque bell tower, which is illuminated on all four sides by two coupled windows on each side.

The pre-event in Saint-Georges-sur-Cher includes the final preparations and launching the rafts. The Office de Tourisme Sud Val de Loire also organises a 28 km cycle ride.
