Pontlevoy Abbey is a Benedictine abbey founded in 1034. The Church of Saint-Pierre preceded the present abbey church of Pontlevoy Abbey.
The choir, apsidioles, transept and bell tower of the Church of Saint-Pierre, with the exception of the modern tower spire, have been protected as historic monuments by decree of 16 July 1962.
The Musée dans la rue is an approximately one-and-a-half-hour walk through Pontlevoy. Using 25 panels, it illustrates everyday life in Pontlevoy at the beginning of the 20th century. The Musée dans la rue uses a selection from the Clergeau photo collection of the photographer Clergeau, who was originally from Pontlevoy and created more than 10,000 photographs.
