The Château de La Ferté-Imbault stands on foundations dating back to 980 and is located at the center of a remarkable ensemble dating from the 16th and 17th centuries. This includes the lower courtyard, forecourt, courtyard of honor, farmyard, outbuildings, pavilions, moats, double terraces, garden, and park.
The château is one of the oldest castles in Sologne and is also the largest brick-built castle in Sologne.

Culture
The Chapelle Saint-Taurin is part of the local history. It is the only surviving evidence of the former collegiate church of the same name and was added to the list of Monuments historiques in 1875. The chapel also contains a simple Romanesque porch that comes from the collegiate church demolished in 1868.
The priory is also one of the old houses in La Ferté-Imbault dating from the 18th century. The Croix Saint-Ladre stands on the site of a former leprosarium.
Nature
The Château de La Ferté-Imbault has defensive moats more than 30 meters wide, fed by the Sauldre.
The 34-hectare municipal Tertre des Canaux site combines dry and wet heathland, wet meadows, marshland, woodland, and ponds. Tertre des Canaux is designated as a Natura 2000 site and as a type 1 ZNIEFF.
The Tertre des Canaux site is not open for independent visits; however, the Conservatoire organizes excursions there.
You can walk near the Sauldre River at the Le Petit Arcachon pond. Le Petit Arcachon is also considered a suitable place for a picnic.
Guided tours are organized in the Plessis nature reserve.
