Villexanton: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Culture
In Villexanton, the entire Saint-Denis Church is protected as a French historic monument. It was designated by decree on 29 October 2018. The church has a somewhat irregular architectural layout: the nave dates from the 12th century, the choir from the 16th century, and the bell tower from the late 17th century. The choir also features a remarkable caquetoire.
The windmill at the site of La Pièce du buisson belonged to the Brisset family and burned down around 1909 or 1910. La croix du bourg is one of the wayside crosses recorded in Villexanton.
At the nearby Château de Talcy, guided tours of the château are offered. During the school holidays, there are also tours and workshops for children aged 6 to 12.
A regional speciality is Les Escargots Des Chateaux: the business breeds, processes and sells snails directly from the farm and at regional markets.
