A 10.4-kilometre circular walking trail runs through the Val de Choisille, following the river, slopes and woods.

Cycle Routes

The La Vallée de la Choisille cycle route is an easy 8-kilometre trail that takes around one hour. It runs through the streets of Saint-Cyr-sur-Loire before reaching the Choisille Valley. The starting and finishing points are at the Quai des Maisons Blanches.

Parks and Culture

The Parc de la Perraudière is open to the public and is an arboretum with more than 120 labelled plant species. Sculptures are displayed at various locations, each relating to the surrounding space and landscape.

The Pavillon Charles X presents works by local artists and craftspeople, as well as themed municipal exhibitions. A puppet theatre is located on a south-facing terrace in the Parc de la Perraudière, overlooking the Loire.

The Manoir de la Tour hosts exhibitions, performances and conferences. Every year, it organises several artistic events, including the Art et Poésie de Touraine exhibition.

History and Literature

Until the 19th century, all economic activity in the harbour area of Les Maisons Blanches centred on the river; the circular trail is connected to the Quai des Maisons Blanches.

The Parc de la Tour is a literary park created from a restored former private park dating from the 19th century. It features reading alcoves, stage areas, giant letters, feathers and oversized herbarium pages. Literary events are held there regularly, and exhibitions of contemporary art are also presented.
