Culture and History

The Château de Brou was probably built by the knight François de Gebert, Seigneur de Noyant du Rivau. Between 1866 and 1868, the Marquis de Moges commissioned the renovation of the Château de Brou.

The Church of Saint Gervais and Saint Protais was built in 1874. Its bell tower was built in 1890, and the church was renovated in 2013.

In front of Noyant-de-Touraine Town Hall, a 7th-century Merovingian sarcophagus discovered in 1962 is on display. The Allée de Brou was used by Countess Ida de l'Aigle to get from the Château de Brou to the church.

The loge de vigne at 8 Rue des Loges dates from the late 19th century and served as living quarters for workers.
