Ingrandes-de-Touraine is one of the municipalities that make up the Bourgueil AOC. The Château de Minière vineyard covers 18 hectares in the heart of this AOC.

Château de Minière offers a guided 45-minute tasting of the red and rosé wines of the Bourgueil AOC, as well as the estate's sparkling wines. This is followed by a 1.5-hour walk through the vineyards, introducing Cabernet Franc and the terroirs of Bourgueil.

The signposted 25 km cycling loop “Entre val et coteau – Boucle vélo n°31” starts in Ingrandes-de-Touraine and follows Rue des Roches along the hillside; the stated duration is 2 hours and 30 minutes.

The signposted 35 km cycling loop “Grands crus et belles demeures – Boucle vélo n°23”, suitable for beginners, leads to Château de Minière and through its vineyards.

At Mont Sigou there is an orientation board and information panels about the history of the Loire Valley. The orientation point at Mont Sigou is accessible year-round.

Culture and History

The Église Saint-Romain was built in 1859 in the Neo-Gothic style according to plans by diocesan architect Gustave Guérin. Between 1861 and 1877, stained-glass windows by Julien-Léopold Lobin and Lucien-Léopold Lobin were installed there.

A wall near the Salle des fêtes is the only surviving remnant of the former church dating from the mid-11th century. Ingrandes-de-Touraine was a former vicus, situated on the border of the Turones and on the Roman road from Tours to Angers.
